Extension in Barrow Upon Soar Leicestershire

A tight space to work was the major challenge to overcome on this project in Barrow Upon Soar Leicestershire. An outhouse was demolished and rebuilt into a utility room, cloakroom and study connecting to the main house in the village of Barrow upon Soar.

Before building work could start, 25 tons of soil were removed from the upward sloping garden to make way for the extension.

All ground works were done by hand due to lack of access for any diggers etc.

A retaining wall was built along with full waterproofing.

The result was a light airy space that added much needed ground floor area for the clients. Whilst there, Blackstone also re-landscaped the seating area to make the most of the space available.
